GEN 2 — TITAN ARCHER VS SEA KAIJU — THE STRIKE (SHOTS 13–23)] [GLOBAL] A continuous sequence of about 26 seconds told in 11 numbered shots in order, cuts only between numbered shots. OPENING STATE: the HARPOON has been fired from the coast and climbed into orbit; the KAIJU is in the storm sea among the container ships. LOOK: photoreal IMAX-scale CGI blockbuster, cold grey-blue storm light under a low overcast sky, enormous sense of scale, heavy ocean spray, electric-blue energy effects, underwater debris and bubbles, fine film grain; the camera is locked off or on smooth dolly and tracking moves. TITAN: a 120-metre silver knight-like mech archer with a glowing pale blue visor and a huge compound bow (match 01 · TITAN exactly). KAIJU: a 200-metre whale-shaped leviathan with dark green-brown scaly skin and a huge mouth full of long sharp teeth (match 02 · KAIJUexactly). HARPOON: a bus-length metal arrow with a four-bladed barbed harpoon head, blue lightning crackling along the shaft, a thin glowing cable trailing from the tail (match 03 · HARPOON exactly). OCEAN: the stormy open sea with three loaded container ships riding heavy waves, and a ship's bridge interior with rain-streaked windows (match 04 · OCEAN exactly). TRENCH: a deep underwater trench of rock spires and a rocky seabed in blue-green water (match 05 · TRENCH exactly). Nothing is ever completely still: waves roll, spray blows, bubbles rise, the energy on the HARPOON flickers. Shot 13 — WIDE, locked off from orbit, the Earth's curve and cloud below: the HARPOON re-enters the atmosphere nose first, a fiery orange plasma trail behind the blue-lit head, diving toward the storm.

Shot 14 — UNDERWATER WIDE, slow dolly in the TRENCH, light shafts from above: the KAIJU swims between the rock spires, the long scaly body passing the camera, pectoral fins sweeping.

Shot 15 — TRACKING, the camera diving beside the HARPOON through the cloud deck: the HARPOON punches down through the clouds, the fiery trail fading to blue lightning, the storm OCEAN opening up below.

Shot 16 — UNDERWATER MEDIUM, locked off in the TRENCH: the KAIJU lunges with the jaws wide open at a pair of humpback whales, teeth bared, the whales scattering in a burst of bubbles.

Shot 17 — WIDE, locked off at wave height on the OCEAN, container ships on both sides of frame: the HARPOON hits the sea between the ships and a column of white water explodes straight up, higher than the ships' bridges.

Shot 18 — UNDERWATER WIDE, locked off in the TRENCH: a blinding blue-white flash, and the HARPOON drives straight down through the water and punches into the KAIJU's flank, the four blades biting, lightning spreading across the scales, the thin cable glowing in a straight line up toward the surface, the KAIJU convulsing with a muffled roar.

Shot 19 — UNDERWATER CLOSE-UP, locked off on the TRENCH floor: the HARPOON's barbed anchor spike slams into the rocky seabed and locks, rock shattering, debris and sand blasting outward, the cable going taut with a deep metallic clang.

Shot 20 — UNDERWATER WIDE, locked off in the TRENCH: the cable snaps tight between the seabed and the KAIJU, high-voltage lightning crawls along the cable and across the KAIJU's whole body, the KAIJU thrashing, pectoral fins beating, the tail smashing into a rock spire that crumbles.

Shot 21 — WIDE, locked off at wave height on the OCEAN, container ships at left and right: the sea in the middle rises into a huge rounded dome of water, swelling higher, spray streaming off the crest.

Shot 22 — WIDE, locked off at wave height, the same framing: the dome bursts and the KAIJU is yanked bodily out of the OCEAN by the glowing cable, the whole 200-metre body hanging in the air between the ships, water pouring off the scales, the jaws open in a roar, the cable a straight blue line down into the sea.

Shot 23 — WIDE, locked off low from the water, a loaded container ship in the near foreground: the KAIJU crashes down across the container ship, the hull buckling and tearing, thousands of coloured containers blasting into the air in a colossal explosion of white water that fills the frame.
