THE DRAGON’S LAST FIRE
Complete 40-Second Cinematic Fantasy Comedy Film
Create ONE complete, continuous 40-second professionally directed cinematic fantasy comedy short film.
FORMAT: Vertical 9:16, 24fps, cinematic photorealistic CGI, premium theatrical VFX, anamorphic 35mm film aesthetic.
IMPORTANT: This is ONE complete film with ONE continuous original orchestral soundtrack, professional editing, distinct cinematic shots, precisely synchronized sound effects, and clear visual storytelling.
The film must feel like a miniature Hollywood fantasy movie, NOT a collection of disconnected AI clips.
- STRICT CHARACTER REFERENCES
Two character reference images are provided.
REFERENCE IMAGE 1 — KNIGHT KITTEN
Use the supplied kitten character sheet as the definitive reference for the kitten’s appearance.
A tiny fluffy golden-gray-brown kitten with a perfectly round feline face, enormous dark glossy eyes, short muzzle, small feline ears, short paws, a small pink bow, engraved silver medieval knight armor, ivory cloth cape, and a medieval longsword.
Maintain the exact same face, fur, pink bow, armor, sword, cape, body size, and proportions in EVERY shot.
The kitten must remain a tiny realistic feline, not a human-like character.
REFERENCE IMAGE 2 — RED DRAGON
Use the supplied dragon character sheet as the definitive reference.
An enormous dark reddish-brown dragon with curved horns, textured scales, powerful clawed feet, spiked back, long tail, and massive leathery wings.
Preserve exact anatomy, coloration, horns, wing structure, proportions, and facial identity throughout.
ENVIRONMENT
A vast medieval meadow covered in thin mist, short gray-green grass, damp soil, scattered stones, distant hills partly hidden by fog.
Soft overcast lighting, muted gray-green tones, realistic wind, volumetric atmosphere, detailed fur, polished metal reflections, and realistic dragon scales.
Keep the same environment, lighting, wind direction, and character scale throughout the entire film.
- MUSIC — ONE CONTINUOUS CINEMATIC SCORE
Compose ONE original continuous orchestral fantasy soundtrack for the ENTIRE 40-second film.
Main musical identity: epic fantasy orchestral music with emotional strings, powerful brass, deep cinematic percussion, low bass, and a memorable playful pizzicato motif.
The same melodic theme must develop throughout the story.
Music structure:
- 00:00–00:09: Dark epic orchestral introduction, low strings, powerful drums and brass.
- 00:09–00:16: Increasing tension, rising strings, dramatic heartbeat percussion.
- 00:16–00:20: Sudden musical silence for the dragon’s failed fire breath, followed by a tiny comic pizzicato note.
- 00:20–00:24: Dramatic orchestral percussion synchronized with the dragon’s furious stomp.
- 00:24–00:28: The same main theme transforms into gentle, playful pizzicato strings and woodwinds.
- 00:28–00:32: Accelerating orchestral riser, rising tension, then half a second of complete silence.
- 00:32–00:36: Huge triumphant orchestral climax, brass, percussion, shimmering magical effects.
- 00:36–00:40: Playful resolution of the original musical theme, ending with a perfectly timed comedic musical sting.
Maintain a continuous musical identity, consistent orchestral instrumentation, acoustic space, harmonic progression and mixing.
No unrelated music tracks. No pop music. No EDM. No vocals. No narration.
- COMPLETE CINEMATIC SHOT-BY-SHOT STORYBOARD
00:00–00:03 — THE ARRIVAL
SHOT A — EXTREME WIDE SHOT.
A colossal dark-red dragon descends rapidly through the misty sky toward the tiny knight kitten standing alone in the meadow.
SHOT B — LOW-ANGLE IMPACT SHOT.
The dragon lands with tremendous force. Grass bends, dust rises, the ground trembles.
A sharp cinematic hard cut synchronized with a massive orchestral bass hit.
SOUND: Powerful wingbeats, dragon roar, thunderous landing, wind and deep drums.
00:03–00:06 — THE KITTEN’S FEAR
SHOT C — EXTREME CLOSE-UP.
A gigantic dragon shadow moves across the kitten’s tiny round face.
The kitten’s ears flatten, its huge eyes widen, and its body trembles slightly.
The camera performs a fast controlled push-in toward the kitten’s frightened eyes.
SHOT D — REACTION INSERT.
The kitten swallows nervously, looking upward at the enormous dragon.
SOUND: Deep dragon breathing, soft frightened kitten squeak, heartbeat-like orchestral percussion.
00:06–00:09 — THE SWORD
SHOT E — MACRO INSERT.
Extreme close-up of the kitten’s tiny armored paws tightening around the sword handle.
The metal gauntlets tremble. The sword makes a sharp metallic clink.
SHOT F — HEROIC LOW-ANGLE SHOT.
The kitten bravely raises its longsword despite being terrified.
Behind it, the enormous dragon dominates the frame.
SOUND: Metallic sword sound, rising heroic brass, deep orchestral strings.
CUT on the sword movement.
00:09–00:13 — THE DRAGON’S FIRE
SHOT G — LOW-ANGLE CLOSE-UP.
The dragon lowers its gigantic head and slowly opens its jaws.
A bright orange fire grows deep inside its throat.
SHOT H — EXTREME CLOSE-UP OF THE MOUTH.
The camera rapidly pushes toward the dragon’s glowing throat, stopping just before the teeth.
The fire flickers intensely, illuminating the scales and teeth.
SOUND: Deep fire rumble, increasing orchestral tension, roaring flames.
00:13–00:16 — THE EYES
SHOT I — EXTREME CLOSE-UP OF THE KITTEN’S EYES.
Cut sharply to the kitten’s frightened face.
The dragon’s orange firelight creates natural warm reflections on the kitten’s glossy eyes, fur, and polished silver armor.
IMPORTANT: The fire exists ONLY inside the dragon’s mouth. The kitten’s eyes reflect LIGHT, not physical flames. No fire inside the eyes. No fire emerging from the eyes.
The kitten’s pupils widen. Its ears flatten further. It squeezes its eyes shut, bracing for the fire blast.
SOUND: Orchestral crescendo, one heavy heartbeat, dramatic tension.
00:16–00:20 — THE DRAGON FAILS
SHOT J — CLOSE-UP OF THE DRAGON’S THROAT.
The orange fire suddenly flickers and goes completely dark.
SHOT K — SIDE PROFILE MEDIUM CLOSE-UP.
The dragon forcefully thrusts its head forward, attempting to breathe fire.
Instead, one tiny pathetic ember falls from its mouth, followed by a weak little puff of gray smoke.
The ember lands on damp grass and immediately goes out.
The dragon freezes in disbelief, looking confused and embarrassed.
SOUND: ALL MUSIC STOPS abruptly. A tiny ridiculous “PFFT” sound, followed by awkward silence and one dry pizzicato violin note.
The audience must clearly understand: THE DRAGON IS UNABLE TO BREATHE FIRE.
00:20–00:24 — THE FURIOUS DRAGON
SHOT L — CLOSE-UP OF THE DRAGON’S FACE.
The dragon becomes furious and humiliated. Its eyes narrow, nostrils flare, and it growls angrily.
SHOT M — EXTREME LOW-ANGLE FOOT INSERT.
The dragon lifts one enormous clawed foot.
Use cinematic slow motion for approximately 0.8 seconds as the foot crashes into wet soil.
Mud, tiny stones, and grass fly outward in realistic slow motion.
SHOT N — KITTEN REACTION.
A quick cut to the kitten stumbling backward from the shockwave.
Return to normal speed immediately.
SOUND: Angry dragon growl, powerful orchestral percussion hit, deep sub-bass ground impact, rattling armor.
00:24–00:28 — THE FLOWER
SHOT O — CLOSE-UP OF THE KITTEN.
The kitten recovers its balance. Its frightened expression changes to curiosity.
It notices a tiny pale-pink wildflower growing beside a stone.
SHOT P — EXTREME MACRO INSERT.
The pink flower sways gently in the wind.
SHOT Q — CLOSE-UP OF THE KITTEN’S FACE.
Its ears perk up. Its eyes brighten with a clever idea.
SHOT R — INSERT SHOT.
The kitten gently picks the flower with one armored paw and lowers its sword.
SOUND: The same orchestral melody becomes playful, with pizzicato strings, gentle woodwinds and a tiny magical bell.
00:28–00:32 — THE DANGEROUS GIFT
SHOT S — LOW-ANGLE TWO-SHOT.
The tiny kitten approaches the gigantic dragon and raises the little pink flower toward its enormous nose.
SHOT T — EXTREME MACRO.
The delicate flower petals touch the dragon’s nostril.
The dragon sniffs.
SHOT U — EXTREME CLOSE-UP OF THE DRAGON’S FACE.
Its nostrils twitch once, then twice.
Its eyes widen, chest expands and head pulls backward as an enormous sneeze builds.
The kitten smiles innocently.
SOUND: Loud sniffing, accelerating orchestral strings, rising brass and rapidly increasing tension.
At 00:31.5, cut ALL MUSIC for half a second.
00:32–00:36 — THE EXPLOSIVE SNEEZE
SHOT V — DRAMATIC LOW-ANGLE MEDIUM SHOT.
The dragon suddenly sneezes with an unmistakable violent forward head jerk and full-body recoil.
A gigantic column of brilliant golden magical fire erupts vertically from its mouth into the sky.
SOUND: An enormous exaggerated “AAAA-CHOO!” synchronized perfectly with the fire explosion, followed by a huge orchestral impact.
SHOT W — EXTREME WIDE SHOT.
The golden fire explodes into a spectacular magical firework display above the meadow.
The dragon is engulfed in a harmless swirling cloud of glowing golden magical sparks.
Its huge silhouette shrinks and disappears into the sparkling cloud, as if magically teleported away by its own sneeze.
The kitten remains safely on the ground.
CAMERA: Fast cinematic pullback followed by brief slow motion of the glowing fireworks.
SOUND: Magical explosion, sparkling fireworks, triumphant brass, full orchestra.
00:36–00:40 — THE FINAL PUNCHLINE
SHOT X — WIDE SHOT.
Golden fireworks illuminate the cloudy sky.
The dragon has completely vanished, leaving a tiny floating puff of smoke where it stood.
The little knight kitten stands alone, completely stunned.
SHOT Y — EXTREME CLOSE-UP.
SMASH CUT with a lightning-fast cinematic whip-zoom directly toward the kitten’s round face.
Its pink bow is crooked, its fur slightly messy, and its enormous eyes are filled with disbelief.
The kitten looks directly into the camera.
One tiny exhausted “MEOW.”
Hold the deadpan expression for the final beat.
FREEZE FRAME.
SOUND: The orchestral theme resolves into one perfectly timed comedic pizzicato pluck, followed by a clean musical ending.
No generated subtitles. Leave clean space for a final caption to be added in editing.
- PROFESSIONAL FILM EDITING
Use approximately 25 visually distinct shots throughout the film.
Alternate extreme wide shots, medium shots, low-angle compositions, close-ups, extreme close-ups, macro inserts and reaction shots.
Use:
- Hard cuts synchronized with musical accents.
- Dramatic push-ins for tension.
- Shot-reverse-shot editing between the kitten and dragon.
- Macro inserts for the sword, claw, flower and dragon’s nostrils.
- Brief slow motion ONLY for the dragon’s foot impact and magical fireworks.
- A rapid whip-zoom for the final kitten reaction.
- Realistic motion blur, consistent eyelines and believable screen direction.
Every shot must advance the action or reveal an emotional reaction.
No prolonged static shots. No repetitive compositions. No unnecessary camera movement.
- SOUND DESIGN
All sound effects must synchronize precisely with visible actions.
Include realistic dragon wingbeats, landing impacts, grass movement, wind, armor clinks, sword sounds, fire rumbling, tiny failed ember, weak smoke puff, furious dragon growls, earth-shaking foot stomp, flower rustling, exaggerated sniffing, explosive magical sneeze, golden fireworks and the kitten’s final tiny meow.
Keep one consistent ambient wind sound throughout.
Mix the music and effects like a professionally produced theatrical short film.
- STRICT NEGATIVE CONSTRAINTS
No humans. No additional cats or dragons. No extra limbs. No human hands. No character redesign. No changing fur color. No changing pink bow. No inconsistent armor or sword. No fire emerging from the kitten’s eyes. No realistic injuries or gore. No unrelated locations. No random objects. No spoken dialogue. No narration. No subtitles. No watermarks.
Do not replace the visible failed fire-breathing attempt with an unexplained smoke puff.
Do not omit the dragon’s angry foot stomp.
Do not omit the flower touching the dragon’s nose.
Do not replace the final sneeze with ordinary fire breathing.
The final sneeze MUST cause the golden firework explosion and the dragon’s magical disappearance.
FINAL DIRECTOR’S OBJECTIVE
Tell one complete, emotionally clear and visually spectacular story:
A tiny terrified knight confronts an enormous fire-breathing dragon. The dragon humiliatingly fails to breathe fire, becomes furious, and the kitten unexpectedly helps it with a tiny flower. The resulting gigantic magical sneeze creates an incredible fireworks display and makes the dragon vanish, leaving the kitten utterly stunned.
The film must combine epic cinematic spectacle, precise visual comedy, expressive animal acting, professional editing and one unified orchestral soundtrack.
Make every second count.
