We created a hybrid concept music video for our beloved Jay-Jay Johanson’s Mr. Fredrikson. In the original video, Jay-Jay is driving the car while singing, and the road scenes appear in the background. We started wondering what might be happening in the back seat at the same time, so we created those backseat moments. Suddenly, the music video came alive—it became layered, strange, and turned into a peculiar little story. Music videos are making a comeback, and in the age of AI, as artists express themselves, they will collaborate with musicians even more.
